In celebration of ArtWeek, Auckland culture guide Gather & Hunt collaborated with The Next Crew to present ArtDEGO: A Marriage of Fine Art and Fine Dining. The event was to be a spectacular celebration of creativity, both in art and in food.  Hosted at The Nathan Club in Britomart, this exciting evening showcased five chefs and five artists, who will pair up to create culinary art. Guests enjoyed unique cocktails and creative canapés before dining on a five-course degustation with wine match. Each course is the chef’s interpretation of their partnering artist’s work. The works of the artists were also be exhibited at the event. 

This is the latest venture for the celebrated Next Crew chefs, Hayden McMillan at TriBeCa, Mark Southon at The Foodstore and Nick Honeyman at The Commons. They are joined by chefs Stephen Smith, head chef at The Tin Soldier, and Brian Campbell, pastry chef at The Hip Group.  The collaborating artists are Alex Bartleet, Elliot Collins, Liam Gerrard, Tiffany Singh, and Johl Dwyer with a performance by  Courtney Sina Meredith.
